TARGET PARTICIPANTS

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

This workshop aims to empower participants with a systematic, structured and multisensory approach which they can use to improve students' knowledge of word functions e.g. subject, verb, subject describer, verb expander. The approach, Project Read, teaches sentence diagramming using direct and explicit instructions. The breaking down of sentences into smaller units aids reading comprehension. Additionally, the knowledge of how the words should be arranged and used in a sentence according to syntax and grammar rules can eventually translate to an improvement in writing skills.
